Update on Saturday's NEAPG Hosted Luncheon

S-316, NEAPG Hosted Luncheon

Attendees -keep thinking about what you’d like to talk about over lunch. Members of the Association of Professional Genealogists, New England Chapter, will be at each table at Saturday’s luncheon to guide a focused discussion.

You must be registered for the luncheon in order to attend, but there is no registration for or guaranteed seating at specific tables. Seating at each table is truly first-come, first-served.

As you enter the Marriott Grand Ballroom for lunch, locate a table with a topic that appeals to you.  If that table is already full, pick a different table.

To assist you in considering your first choice and have several possible alternate table options in mind, the topics have already been listed in E-zine 11 and on the NERGC Blog .

The final list of topics along with specific table numbers will published in the E-zine and Blog prior to the conference and will also be posted on-site at the conference.

However, again please note that seating at a specific table is not guaranteed, and that seating at tables is first-come, first-served as those signed up for the luncheon enter the Ballroom.

FREE Cemetery Tours to start off NERGC

Did you know that the New England Regional Genealogical Conference (NERGC) is offering two free cemetery tours on Wednesday, April 6, 2011?

W-103 11:00 A.M. Springfield Cemetery Tour #1
W-104 2:00 P.M. Springfield Cemetery Tour #2

Springfield Cemetery is a rural cemetery that highlights both history and natural beauty. There are about 14 generations of New Englanders buried there. Ruth Shapleigh-Brown, Executive Director of the Connecticut Gravestone Network, and Rusty Clark, Springfield's area cemetery guide and author, will provide an introduction to the area's gravestones and recount stories about the craftsmen who made these old time memorials and some of the people buried in historic Springfield Cemetery.

Rusty Clark is the author of several cemetery books including West Springfield Massachusetts - Stories Carved in Stone.

Bring your curiosity, questions, and cameras. The tours are FREE for conference attendees, but preregistration is required.

You can register on the NERGC website.
