An e-mail reminder about the Full Conference Survey went out to all Conference registrants this afternoon.   If you have not already completed our online survey, you have two options.  Go to the NERGC 2011 web page and click on FULL CONFERENCE SURVEY or, click on the button in the e-mail to directly link to the survey. Complete the survey before May 3, 2011 and your survey ID will be entered into a drawing for one FREE conference registration for NERGC 2013 in Manchester NH (April 17-21).  We will announce and contact the winner.

Conference Registration/Check-in takes place on the Sheraton’s Second Level Foyer on Thursday from 7:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.; Friday from 7:15 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.; and Saturday from 7:15 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Hospitality, Queries, and Volunteers/Evaluation tables are near the Registration Booths on the Sheraton’s Second Level Foyer.   ·        Hospitality will be staffed Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. ·        The Volunteers/Evaluation tables will be staffed Thursday and Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

If you’re not signed up for one of NERGC’s meals, there are a number of food options in and near our conference hotels. There will be a food concession on the Third Level of the Sheraton serving breakfast beginning at 8:00 and lunch beginning at 11:00, ending at 2:00 p.m. Peter’s Grille, in the Sheraton, will be open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 6:00 to 10:00 a.m. for breakfast and 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. for dinner. MVP, also in the Sheraton, will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.   Due to the high NERGC turnout, the Sheraton strongly recommends reservations at both restaurants, with a limit of six people per reservation. Champions Sports Bar & Grill and Currents Fine Dining at the Marriott are open on a first come, first serve basis; no reservations are accepted. The food court located on the Upper Level of the adjacent Tower Square Mall, is o pen 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and offers a variety of options (Combo Wok, Fantastico, LeGreq...

The New England Regional Genealogical Conference (NERGC) will hold it's opening session on Thursday, April 7, 2011 at 10:00 in the Springfield Marriott Grand Ballroom, 6th floor. Come hear a welcome and opening remarks by co-chairs, Pauline Cusson and Richard Clarke Roberts. Then be treated to a special talk called "Family History in Primetime: Genealogy's Next Generation" by D. Joshua Taylor, the Director of Education and Programs at the New England Historic Genealogical Society . See you there at 10:00am! The day rate for parking in the Sheraton’s garage is $4.00 per day (with tickets validated at the Sheraton coat check or front desk) or $9.95 per night for guests at the hotel.  Guests can come and go as often as they would like. The Sheraton no longer offers valet parking. The garage clearance is 7’ 2” so standard trucks and vans should have no problem getting in. The Tower Square garage connected to the Marriott Springfield (and across the street from the Sheraton) offers 1,200 well-lighted, covered, and secured parking spaces. The parking is $5.00 per day for daily commuters attending Marriott events. The Marriott’s discounted overnight rate at Tower Square for Marriott guests is $15.00.
