SOCIETY FAIR SPACE ALERT

Over 20 genealogical, historical and family societies have already registered for the 2013 Society Fair and there is room for only a few more tables. If your group is mulling over this great chance to take part, don’t wait any longer! The event will be held on Thursday 18 April 2013 from 5 to 7 PM in the Radisson Hotel Exhibition Hall immediately before the Exhibit Hall opens. A cash bar will be located nearby. There is no charge to your organization to participate. Your group will have a skirted 6’ x 2’ table and two chairs. We will supply signage. You are free to display your wares and take orders for publications and memberships. You will have a good crowd to show off your organization. Groups wishing to sell items on a commercial level must purchase an Exhibit Hall booth and not use the Society Fair. Reserve your space by sending an email to Ralph Wadleigh at whplar@comcast.net.

NERGC 2013 BOOTH SPACES GOING FAST

As of today, only 22 booth spaces remain available in the NERGC 2013 Exhibit Hall. If your organization is interested in exhibiting at the conference, don't delay in purchasing your booth space. Go to http://www.nergc.org/Exhibitors.html, download, print out and complete the documents, and return the signed Exhibitor's Application Form, the signed Exhibitor’s Agreement, and your check as soon as possible to get the best possible location for your booth.

CALL FOR NOMINATIONS FOR 2013 VOLUNTEER AWARD

This award, consisting a free registration for the 2013 NERGC conference, one banquet, a recognition certificate read at that banquet, and one night in a conference hotel is given to an individual who has provided outstanding volunteer service to the New England Regional Genealogical Consortium, Inc. or its member societies (as defined in the NERGC bylaws), over and above the job to which they were elected or appointed to do. The service might include (but need not necessarily be limited to) outstanding leadership, completing a special project or demonstrating expertise in accomplishing a goal, raising standards of excellence, or influencing for the better the field of genealogy on behalf of a qualifying genealogical society. The nomination may be for service and/or achievements during the previous calendar year or for achievements over a number of years leading up to and including the previous calendar year. Poster Sessions Wanted for NERGC

In addition to regular presentations, the New England Regional Genealogical Conference (NERGC) is also requesting submissions for poster sessions. Proposal Deadline - Thursday!!

Calling all Speakers - the deadline for submitting proposals for the 2013 New England Regional Genealogical Conference is this Thursday, March 1, 2012 .   Please see Call for Proposals below for details on submitting.
