EXTENDED HOURS AT AMERICAN-CANADIAN GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY

The American-Canadian Genealogical Society, located at 4 Elm Street, Manchester, (about 2 miles south of the Radisson Hotel), will be open Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (April 17 – 19) from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, April 20, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Extra volunteers are signed up to help you in your research. They have seven public computers as well as Wi-Fi in the library. All guest fees for non-members are waived for the four days of the Conference. The hotel van may be able to make hourly trips, but there is also a city bus that picks up at the hotel and drops off right in front of 4 Elm Street. Check at the NERGC hospitality table for more information about transportation.

The Massachusetts Society of Mayflower Descendants is one of the 22 participating societies in the 2011 New England Regional Genealogical Conference (NERGC) . The renewed interest in American history brought about by the celebration of the centennial of the United States in 1876 spawned the formation of dozens of hereditary and patriotic organizations.
