The Society Fair - Thursday Night at NERGC

On Thursday, April 18, 2011 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm there will be a "Society Fair" in the Radisson Hotel Manchester at the rear of the Exhibit Hall family, genealogical and historical societies from all over New England will provide information about their organizations.

The Society Fair is FREE and OPEN to the general public at no cost so that anyone can make contact with society representatives, pick up brochures and registration material, or perhaps even make a more permanent connection by joining a group. Who knows how many of these can be of service to you in your research? Come find out!!  It's a great place to meet and greet and gather in anticipation of the opening of the trade show at 6 p.m.. Don't miss it!
 
The Fair is a great place to meet and greet fellow attendees.  It’s also a place to gather information on family associations, area repositories and genealogical societies offering a variety of information and tools.  It’s been heard that unknown cousins have met at the Fair!!  It’s the place to be before the Trade Show opens.  It shouldn’t be missed for a mix of fun and genealogical socializing!!

NERGC SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS

NERGC VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

In order to put on this conference for such a reasonable rate, we need the help of many volunteers. Below is a list of current openings. If you are interested in volunteering or you are bringing a spouse or friend along for the ride who may be able to volunteer, this is a great way to help. All volunteers get raffle tickets for our volunteer raffle. In 2011 this exclusive raffle had many great items. If you can help, please contact Volunteer Chair Christine Bard at bardc@comcast.netwith either the day or time or if for an intro or door monitor task the session number. Please also include the name of any participating societies you are a member of and would like to give your hours to.
